Life’s Rose Petal Storms

(Excerpt from Creation’s Path “A Poetic Journey of Faith

Heavy showers

pour on the

garden of my heart

My once beautiful petals

were exposed~

The storms were merciless.

My once admired beauty

And delicate fragrance appeared gone

As darkness

Covers the light

~

You are my Rose of Sharon

~

Morning came

The sun shone again

I looked at the light

As it looked upon me

From a lifeless

Drooping feeble flower

In the storms of life

I cast my cares upon you

My hopes transferred to faith

Head lifting power strengthens me.

As I rejoice

My petals unfold

I am more beautiful than before

My garden reflects

Your Glory

I endure life’s rose petal storms.

Jehovah Rophe “God is our healer” Losing a love one can be painful but remember God will not forsake you.

Pain deep down
In the enter
Parts
Of the
Heart
Pushes up
Wet, watery
Eye rivers
From the depth of the soul
Sorrow
Though not as one
That has no hope
But still sorrow
In the reality of
Someone close
Someone you love
Someone you shared
Your past
Will no longer share
Your presence
Except in thought alone
Eye Rivers
Pour
No more
For joy enters in
One thought
You are now resting
In the arms of our Father
Eye Rivers
Has transformed
To peaceful waters of joy
Knowing that you have
Reached your destiny
Of a Heavenly Home.
