“God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16 NLT

Most people have memorized  this scripture .  Isn’t it wonderful and comforting to know that God loves you unconditionally (you do not have to do anything to gain this love)?  We all need love and we all want it.  For your comforting thoughts ” Remember, having received Jesus as you personal Savior and Lord, God is your Father he is always thinking of you (you are never absence from his thought or heart).  He always want the best for you and always have the best in store for you to receive, just ask and believe.

Lamentations 1:2

“Bitterly she weeps at night, tears are upon her cheeks. Among all her lovers there is none to comfort her. All her friends have betrayed her; they have become her enemies.”

Is this the way we feel, “betrayed” when someone doesn’t meet our immediate need to be comforted? Do we reach out to whatever can or will fill the void that we are presently experiencing? Sadly the answer to this is yes, but God has given us a Comforter that is available to us at all times in Him. The Holy Spirit is a “Comforter”. Certainly, loving God and Father that He is; we can provide one another with comfort, but it is not to be misconstrued. God never meant for us to become dependent upon one another. We are to be dependable, loving, and comforting to one another but in our human ability we cannot do what only God can “comfort” us.

Remember: Only God can be there all the time. Only God can provide everything we need in every situation. Only God can truly comfort us. God gives us good friends and family in whom we can depend on but only He can sustain us in the time of need.

Do not allow the enemy to cause you to become angry at someone because you thought they were not there for you.

Do not turn to substances, wrong people, or food for comfort that will cause you to regret it later.

Allow yourself to always:

  • Trust God.
  • Appreciate who He allows to be there for the time that they are allowed.
  • Rejoice in Him when you feel alone.

Matthew 11:28

Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to me. Get away with me and you’ll recover your life. I’ll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with me-watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I won’t lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Keep company with me and you’ll learn to live freely and lightly.”

As you end your day feed on the comforts of God’s presence, protection, provision and peace.
